The melody is enchanting. The production shines like crystal beads. Her soprano-leaping vocal is a delight. The songwriting is stellar: “I never want to see you again, until I see you again,” she warbles as she contemplates an up-and-down relationship while notes sparkle like glitter around her. A lovely record.”

THE LAST MOVIE STAR
Jamie and John Martin co-wrote and recorded all 12 original songs that serve as the official soundtrack of THE LAST MOVIE STAR (2018), starring Burt Reynolds, Chevy Chase and Ariel Winter. Floyd & Martin also appear in a scene with the Bandit early on in the movie, where they perform “Stuck.” In the film, an aging, former Hollywood star (played by Reynolds), is forced to face the reality that his glory days are behind him. On its surface, the film is a tale about faded fame, but at its core, it's a universal story about growing old.
Reynolds passed away unexpectedly in September 2018, leaving behind this film as his final performance. Jamie had the opportunity to get to know Burt while they toured and interviewed at film festivals and auditoriums across the country in promotion of their movie. The two also bonded over the fact that they share the same hometown and both went to the same high school in South Florida.
